Assembly & transformation
Locked into Chinese components? Ask whether DR assembly fits.
For the right products, work in our free zone that genuinely transforms the product can remove the China‑specific tariffs. It is a narrow option, and we screen every product on its HTS code and bill of materials before we quote. If you can simply move sourcing to Vietnam, we’ll tell you so.
A good fit
- Components you can’t easily source outside China: tooling, hardware, component ecosystems
- High U.S. duty rates, such as bags, cases, and luggage
- Dense, labor‑intensive assembly that genuinely transforms the product
- Steady volume, shipped to the U.S. in bulk
Not a fit
- Products mostly made of steel, aluminum, or copper: those tariffs apply wherever they’re assembled
- Light work only, such as packing or decorating
- Apparel cut from Chinese fabric, or footwear built on formed uppers
- Start‑stop or low‑volume programs

- FTZ inbound relief: goods entering our Dominican free zone incur zero Dominican inbound duties, regardless of country of origin.
- Duty deferral: no duty while goods wait in the free zone; U.S. duty is paid when they ship.
- Bulk to the U.S. by default: containers to your U.S. warehouse or 3PL to replenish DTC, wholesale, and Amazon.
- Direct from the DR when it’s personalized: names, monograms, and on‑demand decoration ship straight from the factory, with visibility through integrated WMS, Shopify, and Global-e.

Professional services & advisory
Larimar is an operator first. We manufacture, decorate, and fulfill product for our own brands and customers every day. The services below extend from that operating capability: advisory and build work for companies that want the same infrastructure, or want help evaluating someone else's.
Supply Chain & Nearshoring Advisory
We build and run duty-efficient nearshore supply chains as our core business. We advise outside companies on the same decisions we make for ourselves: CAFTA-DR and DR country-of-origin structuring, tariff and de minimis exposure, nearshore-versus-Asia sourcing, and landed-cost modeling.
Systems & Software Builds
We build the systems we operate: MRP and production planning, order-flow and product configuration, artwork and digitization workflows, and integrations across Shopify, ShipHero, and warehouse APIs, then deploy them for clients as owned IP or a fully managed system.
Inventory & Lender Advisory
Independent inventory assessment and collateral analysis for lenders and the companies they finance: appraisal and valuation, deadstock and liquidation strategy, and ongoing inventory monitoring and reporting, from people who actually move this product rather than model it from a spreadsheet.
Diligence & Transaction Advisory
Operational and supply-chain due diligence for investors, acquirers, and operating teams: sourcing, manufacturing, inventory, and fulfillment assessment across targets and portfolio companies. We also prepare management teams to raise capital or sell, from financial modeling to data-room readiness. An advisor, not a registered broker-dealer.
Program & Sourcing Design
Custom engagements to stand up a new decoration or sourcing program end to end, from artwork intake, configurator setup, and supplier selection through production routing, on-the-ground quality control, and launch, on the same infrastructure we run for ourselves.
