FAQ

What does CAFTA‑DR actually save?

It depends on the product. Apparel and textile goods made here from regional yarn and fabric can enter the U.S. duty‑free. For other qualifying goods, CAFTA‑DR removes the regular U.S. duty rate, but some newer tariffs still apply. We confirm classification and landed cost in writing, line by line, before you commit.

When are duties paid?

Goods held in our free zone pay no Dominican inbound duties, whatever their origin. U.S. duty is paid when goods enter the U.S., so you don’t carry it on inventory still waiting in the DR.

How fast does product reach the U.S.?

Containers load at our Santiago campus, sail from Caucedo, and clear Port Everglades or New York in three to five days; inland runs five to seven. Same time zone, direct flights, and our own people on both ends of the lane.
