Nearshore · Dominican Republic

One platform, factory-direct.

Larimar develops, manufactures, personalizes, and ships footwear, apparel, accessories, and other consumer products for U.S. brands, working from a 500,000+ sq ft free-zone campus in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and a managed U.S. decoration and sourcing network for quick-turn domestic work.

One platform, factory-direct: develop, produce, decorate, fulfill.

Develop

Product development, sourcing, and sample-making, end to end.

Produce

In-house factories plus a vetted managed network, tailored to your needs: high-volume bulk, small batch, or on-demand runs of one.

Decorate

Every method under one roof: DTF, DTG, embroidery, laser, UV, and more.

Fulfill

Duty-optimized DR-to-U.S. flows, shipped direct from the factory floor.

All‑in, nearshore wins on more than duties.

Duties matter, but they’re one line on the invoice. What compounds season after season is faster transit and lower freight, real craftsmanship, flexible minimums, and a single factory‑direct partner that develops, decorates, and ships from one campus, on your time zone.

Craftsmanship

Skilled makers and premium construction, with in‑line QC at every stage: samples you’d approve and bulk that matches them.

Factory‑direct & vertical

Development, manufacturing, decoration, and fulfillment under one roof: no trading houses, no stacked markups, one accountable partner.

Multi‑category & bespoke

Apparel, footwear, headwear, bags, and small leather goods on one platform, plus custom programs built to your spec.

Service on your clock

A U.S.‑based, English‑speaking team on Eastern time: real people, real‑time answers, and on‑the‑ground oversight in Santiago.

Technology‑enabled

MRP, product configurators, automated digitization, and connected fulfillment: the systems that keep quality and timelines predictable.

Favorable duty treatment, grounded in a standing treaty.

CAFTA‑DR is a ratified free‑trade agreement, not an executive action, so preferential treatment for qualifying Dominican‑origin goods stays put through changing trade cycles. Exact duty depends on classification and any trade measures in effect, and our team models landed cost line by line before you commit.

Treaty‑based, not term‑based

CAFTA‑DR has governed U.S.–Dominican trade since 2005. Qualifying goods generally receive preferential (often duty‑free) treatment, and because it’s a ratified agreement, that framework isn’t rewritten term to term.

HTS transformation & assembly

Source components anywhere in the world, bring them into our free zone duty‑free, and transform or assemble them into DR‑origin goods. Finished product enters the U.S. at Dominican treatment, not origin‑country treatment.

Free‑zone duty deferral

Goods held in our FTZ incur zero inbound duties regardless of origin. Duties are paid only on sell‑through, order by order, so your capital stays in inventory, not at customs.

Days at sea, not weeks.

Containers load at our Santiago campus, sail from Caucedo, and clear Port Everglades or New York in three to five days; inland runs five to seven. Same time zone, direct flights, and our own people on both ends of the lane.

That proximity is what makes small buys and fast reorders work: one-unit minimums to full production runs, without cash parked on the water for six weeks.

Shipping routes from Caucedo, Dominican Republic to Port Everglades and New York, 3-5 days transit

From factory floor to final mile.

Start anywhere on the platform: development and production, decoration, duty-optimized fulfillment, or advisory. Take on as much or as little of the chain as you need.
